damara is one of the pre-scratch trolls - or the current trolls' (e.g. karkat etc) ancestors' alternate selves (i think...??), if you like.
no no no!! that's absolutely fine!! you should read it at your own pace; it took me like a whole month to get up to the part where damara is at. how far are you through homestuck though?? i hope you understand it, haha, because i didn't get it for a while.

and of course it is really confusing!! I don't get in the fisrt place why the world was destroyed, and why it is prohibited interact humans with trolls? Why they say that John Egbert is stupid? I mean anti-hero or something? he is not that bad (I think...)
