after 7 months i finally got an actual working tablet and everything works great
apart from the pen pressure which doesn't work at all
this shouldn't be a massive hindrance except that my entire digital colouring technique utilises pen pressure so UM YEAH IT'S KIND OF A MASSIVE HINDRANCE ACTUALLY
i'm trying to look to see how i can actually get pen pressure to work (i've installed the drivers correctly and everything?? oh my god. this might take a while) but in the meantime i still can't actually draw things outside of shitty doodles without it probably
i have a huion 580 tablet, so if any of you know anything about how i can resolve this please leave a comment or something, otherwise thank you for reading this!!!

sorry if i sound really childish but um
can i just say
i don't mind if you repost my drawings onto tumblr - in fact it's actually kind of a compliment to me that someone would want to repost any of my pictures at all!!! but if you do, could you please not link the picture back to your blog as if it is yours and instead it would be nice if you linked it back to the original post (using the source box) or just link it back in the caption (o: for me personally, permission to repost is not necessary, but at least don't link the picture back to your own blog. because, you know, you didn't draw it.
i've had this happen a couple of times now to me and i don't even know if i should be bothered by it at all so i'm sorry if it seems like i'm making a fuss over nothing, but i am a little bothered by the way that some people probably don't really acknowledge that someone worked and spent time on those drawings and just sort of throw it around the internet.
ok i'm going to apologise again because i honestly don't know if i should even care about not being credited ok ok )o:
EDIT: about a day has passed and thanks for the support btw MAN IT HAS MADE ME FEEL A LOT BETTER ABOUT THIS!!! ok well basically i'm not worrying over being bothered about this anymore because i realize i have a right to care about it and god damn it why is that post still GAINING NOTES (it's still not sourced, but in fairness the person who posted it doesn't seem to have been online in the past couple of days); IT'S LIKE GOT OVER 400 NOTES AND WHEN UNSOURCED ART GAINS NOTES I GET MAAAAAAAD REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS MY ART OR NOT. ok thank you rant over (o:
this person's blog is comprised of approximately 95% unsourced art and i think i might have an aneurysm.

I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT MY TRUSTWORTHY TABLET HAS OFFICIALLY PASSED AWAY AFTER DUTIFULLY SERVING ME FOR THREE LONG YEARS )o:
IT LED AN HONORABLE AND TRULY DIGNIFIED LIFE, ONE WHICH I SHALL REVERE WITH HIGH REGARD FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE UNTIMELY DEMISE OF MY MOST CHERISHED DRAWING UTENSIL HAS RESULTED IN ME BEING UNABLE TO DRAW FOR A WHILE; THAT IS, UNTIL I HAVE ACQUIRED A BEFITTING REPLACEMENT TABLET TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE PAIN THAT THE LOSS OF MY DEAR FRIEND HAS SADDLED UPON ME.
no but in all seriousness my tablet has actually died (it's been acting kind of mituna-ish for a while, so this wasn't totally unexpected, but.... eh, it still kind of sucks), and unless i can somehow revive it (which i really doubt - i've been trying to resuscitate it since yesterday) art trades and commissions and all those other things that i have been owing people for literally 457364141359 years won't be finished for a while as a result. which really kind of sucks. wow. i'm so sorry dsfghdjfsdgsjk
ANYWAY, i don't know what tablet to get, so if you guys know of any decent tablets that you could tell me about or recommend, i'd be very grateful!!! i literally don't know anything about tablet models, hahaha. and really sorry to be picky, but i would also prefer it if any recommended tablet is also relatively inexpensive as i am currently in the middle of exams, and will be immersed in a lot of work up until around easter-time, so idk it might be hard to do stuff and cough up enough money for a really costly one (´＿｀。)
